Seafood Thanksgiving 2007

It's been a while since our last photo was posted. (The poster has been busy.)

Here's one from Thanksgiving a couple of weeks ago. As you can see, Nia is fast becoming quite the young lady.

The Girl Who Fell to Earth

This is from last winter (hence, the jacket). After a long walk, she was out by the time we got home. I don't even sleep this well in my own bed.

Nia the Studious

Would you buy a used car from this individual? Would you let her educate your children?

What Have I Done??!!

"I knew I souldn't have left that plutonium on the drainboard all night. Now it's spoiled, and I'll never get that radioactive bread made for the party."

My Brown Eyed Girl

"I didn't do it, I swear. I was in Acapulco at the time. I was having my hair done. I was golfing with friends. I was sleeping. That's my story, Judge, and I'm sticking to it."

The Pyro

Last spring at our friend Lloyd's place on Lake Ida in Putman County, Highway 20 between Palatka and Gainseville. Perfect weather, plenty of firewood. Nia is about to add to the blaze.

Kitten at the Door

This small creature came scratching at our door. She was so cute that we gave her some milk and decided to keep her.

Sam I Am

Nia the party animal in a rare contemplative moment at Dr. Seuss's birthday bash at our local library. Just seconds after this snapshot was taken, she crushed a beercan against her head and hurled a small boy into a giant bowl of M&Ms.

Sister Nia

If she were someone else's daughter, we'd be jealous.

Good Morning

It's demoralizing, you know, to think that some people look better upon waking than the rest of us will look all day.

The Littlest Geisha

Her birthright. A real Kyoto Girl.

You Talkin' to Me?

Don't piss her off. When in an agitated state (hungry, sleepy), wild Nias can be extremely dangerous. If confronted by a Nia that hasn't had proper rest and nourishment, your options are few. The only successful method of avoiding serious injury is to back away slowly (do not turn and run) without making eye-contact, which the wild Nia perceives as a challenge.

It's in the Genes

Did we say that sleeping is what she does best? Cancel that. Eating is what she does best. And as you can see, she's already a pro with the chops.

Cleanliness Leads to All Things Good

Here's Nia awake and clean and happy after a bath. A chip off the old block.

The Sleep of the Righteous

Before Nia came into our lives, we didn't know that angels slept so much. Here are a few of Her Majesty doing what she does best. Too bad it's not an Olympic sport.

From the Beginning

Hello to everyone from SunCentral. We've just begun this thing. Photos will soon follow. Thank you, Dr. Gottlieb, for the advice. It was as easy as you said it would be.
